Open Museum: the audio guide that brings the museum to life.
An audio guide that accompanies visitors through galleries and artworks, adapting to the user’s movement and position through proximity sensors and geolocation. Multilingual content, activations via QR/NFC/Beacon (and GPS for parks), offline access, everything through the visitor’s smartphone.
What is Open Museum?
Open Museum is Loquis’ solution for museums, exhibitions, and archaeological parks that want to enrich the visitor experience with curated audio content that’s easy to activate.
A complete service that combines production, publishing, and on-site distribution: from the editorial concept to the voice, from sound design to in-gallery activations (dynamic QR codes, NFC, Beacon), all the way to listening on the app, web app, or dedicated solutions.
How it works
Production
We shape the content
We design and produce the audio guide through a complete editorial process: writing or adapting texts, translations, voice-over with AI or Human Voice, and sound design.
Distribution
We make content accessible wherever it’s needed
Depending on the museum and the project’s objectives, the client chooses one of the available options, and we define where and how to make the content accessible: publication on Loquis (App/Web) or on dedicated solutions, such as a white-label application. In parallel, we equip the museum space with a technological toolkit (dynamic QR codes, NFC, Beacon) that enables proximity listening, real-time updates without reprinting, and wayfinding functions.
Promotion
We keep the experience alive over time
We amplify the project with visibility and communication tools: channels, placements, and initiatives within the Loquis ecosystem (and across the museum’s touchpoints) to maintain ongoing listening over time.
The Strenghts
When visitors listen as they explore a museum, the visit becomes more meaningful. What makes Open Museum effective:
No devices to rent
Visitors listen via app or web, with multilingual content and immediate access.
Proximity listening
Content activates near an artwork or upon entering a room: the audio guide follows the visitor’s real path, turning the visit into a personalized experience.
QR/NFC/GPS: instant activation
Dynamic QR codes, NFC, and GPS (for archaeological parks): versatile tools suited to different environments and types of experiences.
Measurable results
Dynamic QR codes enable monitoring and analysis (scans, behavior, interest): a concrete way to measure engagement and improve the visitor experience.
Who it’s for
We work with museums and cultural venues that want to make the visit engaging and meaningful, as well as informative.

Some of our clients
Every museum has its own way of being remembered.
Open Museum was created for different contexts and audiences: civic and thematic museums, immersive exhibitions, archaeological parks, tours with “on-visit” content, and content that can also be enjoyed from home. Here are those who have already chosen to enhance the visitor experience.

Open Museum: Let museums speak
A museum isn’t made only of artworks: it’s made of attention, rhythm, atmosphere, silences, details. Audio is the most discreet and powerful medium to hold all of this together: it can inform, of course—but above all, it can make a place come alive. That’s where the quality of the experience changes: when content doesn’t remain “explanation,” but becomes a relationship between space and storytelling, capable of creating emotion—and therefore memory.
Open Museum was created for this: to give the museum a coherent, curated voice, without adding barriers, without intruding on the visit. No longer just simple information, but a widely accessible cultural heritage.
