Open Position: Business Owner – Licensing (Travel Content)

Loquis is the first global platform for geolocated travel podcasts. With over 1.5 million active audio contents worldwide, we are transforming the way people explore destinations by combining storytelling, geolocation, and voice technology. We are launching a new business unit dedicated to licensing our audio content to third-party partners (infotainment systems, OTAs, hotel chains, connected cars, and more) and we are looking for an entrepreneurial, strategic leader to drive its growth.The Role
This is not just an operational position but an opportunity to build and lead a business unit from scratch, with full decision-making autonomy, direct access to the founder, and company-wide visibility. You will not join an existing team: you will create, define, and lead it yourself.Your Responsibilities
- Define and refine the Loquis content licensing model.
- Identify and prioritize strategic verticals (in-flight/train/car entertainment; OTAs and travel platforms; hotel chains and hospitality).
- Initiate and close international deals with strategic partners.
- Collaborate with product and tech teams to create scalable, API-integrated solutions.
- Develop sales materials, go-to-market strategies, and vertical-specific offers.
- Track KPIs, margins, and ROI with a data-driven approach.
- Build and lead a commercial and operational team.
- Report directly to the CEO and collaborate with advisors and investors.

Who We’re Looking For
- 8–10 years in business ownership, business development, or leadership roles in startups/scale-ups/international digital companies.
- Background in travel tech, digital media, SaaS, or content licensing.
- Experience in international negotiations and partnerships.
- Familiarity with B2B/B2B2C models and API-integrated products.
- Strong analytical skills, results orientation, problem solving.
- Excellent communication/negotiation skills in Italian and English (other languages are a plus).
- Experience managing small, high-responsibility teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, fast execution, initiative; used to agile, dynamic contexts.
